It’s time to get to know them better.
My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) has dozens of great characters, and we’re sure you have your faves among them. We have, too.
And we love learning new things about our beloved characters, so we’ve decided to make a list of 10 BNHA characters and tell you a couple of details about them.
- Izuku Midoriya (Deku)
- Age: 14-16 (depending on the arc)
- Height: 166 cm (5' 5")
- Birthday: July 15
We just had to start with our main protagonist, of course, because he’s the most important. Deku might be rather short for his age, although a lot of people would argue that he’s just fine.
His politeness is something special and it was so nice to see him become more confident and determined. We love him more this way.
- Shoto Todoroki
- Age: 15-16
- Height: 176cm (5' 9")
- Birthday: January 11
Due to his complicated past and uneasy life, Shoto had a very aloof demeanor initially. If Shoto is given a choice, he’d rather stay alone and spend time with himself instead of joining friends in their fun.
However, he wasn’t meant to stay like that forever. Shoto learned to open up to other people, became more sociable and kind. He also needs to learn how to work as a team, though, but we’re sure he’ll manage.
- Katsuki Bakugo
- Age: 14-17
- Height: 172cm (5'7")
- Birthday: April 20
Arrogant, short-tempered and aggressive, Bakugo is not always the most fun to be around. And Deku knows it a bit too well.
Even though we didn’t want him to learn this way, his personal defeats did a lot for Bakugo’s character development. He managed to become a better person and keep a lot of his nasty traits at the same time. This takes a lot of effort, huh?
- Tomura Shigaraki
- Age: 20-21
- Height: 175cm (5'9”)
- Birthday: April 4
Just like any main antagonist has to be, Tomura is a very twisted and sinister individual. No one’s life matters to him, if he has to get rid of an innocent person, he’ll do it without second thought.
The fact that his personality resembles that of a child makes him even more terrifying. Tomura hates it when things do not go his way and he sees life as a game. He’s also incapable of coping with his own emotions and prefers to turn them into other people’s problems.
- Ochaco Uraraka
- Age: 15-16
- Height: 156cm (5'1")
- Birthday: December 27
Careful because you may be absolutely charmed only after looking at a picture of Ochaco. When you first see her, you think that she’s going to be the most adorable sunshine in the world. And she can be that, that’s for sure.
However, when it’s needed Ochaco can become intimidating. Her determination and will are so great that they usually surprise others. If she needs to focus and do the thing, she’ll be extremely good at it.
- Eijiro Kirishima
- Age: 15-16
- Height: 170cm (5'7")
- Birthday: October 16
Eijiro possesses a rather impressive physique for his young age, just look at all the muscles!
Eijiro is very straightforward and this might be both an advantage and a disadvantage. You’ll always know he’s telling the truth, but the truth might be quite unpleasant.
He makes friends easily and can get really emotional when someone impresses him. And the most important thing is that he stays loyal to his friends after he’s befriended them.
- Toshinori Yagi (All Might)
- Age: 55+
- Height: 220cm (7'3")
- Birthday: June 10
He’s so tall that any other character’s neck will hurt for days after having a conversation with Toshinori.
All Might is the epitome of a comic book hero: it’s in the way he looks, it’s in the way he acts. If innocents are in danger, he’ll always be the first one to assist. And do it with a smile of course!
But when he comes back to his true form, Toshinori doesn’t like all the attention and prefers to act in a more reserved way.
- Tenya Ida
- Age: 15-16
- Height: 179cm (5'10")
- Birthday: August 22
Tenya might look strict and like he’s about to reproach you for something you’ve done wrong, but there’s no need to fear, he’s actually a very nice person.
Tenya is intelligent and disciplined, and he might struggle with understanding social cues at times. He might also come off as weird, but we love him for that, don’t we?
- Tsuyu Asui
- Age: 15-16
- Height: 150cm (4'11")
- Birthday: February 12
Tsuyu is one of the shortest characters in My Hero Academia, and definitely the shortest one on our list. Her appearance is rather frog-like, so if you like these creatures, you’ll also like Tsuyu. Even her hair is green!
If something’s on her mind, she’ll spit it out, Tsuyu doesn’t have any issues with telling others the truth about what she thinks of them. Since her parents never took proper care of her, she had to become responsible and mature very early, which makes her an outstanding person.
- Shota Aizawa
- Age: 30-31
- Height: 183cm (6'0")
- Birthday: November 8
Aloof, stern, reserved, Aizawa sounds like someone who’d be a lot of fun at a party.
His skills are on another level, and he holds others to the same standard: he expects nothing less than greatness from his students. Aizawa hates it when someone disobeys him. Despite his strict demeanor, he truly cares for his students. Aizawa actually wants the best for them and even accepts them back after expulsion.
