While One Punch Man is, first and foremost, a parody of the battle shounen genre, it’s actually possible to enjoy it when you take it seriously, too. Amazing fights certainly help, and the hero system in it isn’t that different from that of MHA.

Naruto is a classic shounen series, and My Hero Academia has sometimes been dubbed “green Naruto.” While that’s definitely not a good direct comparison, there are many common elements, as both belong to the battle shounen genre.
Both are “zero to hero” stories, with protagonists being bullied underdogs and becoming the strongest among their peers gradually. Both deal with themes of duty and hard work, too. Both Naruto and Shippuden are entirely on Crunchyroll.

Tiger & Bunny is another superhero series — and this one, arguably, has even more American influence. However, the anime is incredibly popular in Japan — it’s just somewhat obscure among otaku in the West because of the lack of overlap between target audiences for anime and superhero media.
Still, it is great, and you can watch all of it on Netflix — and the first season might be on Crunchyroll, depending on your location.
If you want a series with similar dynamics to MHA that doesn’t focus on battles, then Haikyuu!! might be up your alley. It’s also a shounen underdog story with a huge cast of characters, and has a similar reputation in the community — it’s undoubtedly the biggest modern sports anime.
Funnily enough, MHA and Haikyuu!! share Yuki Hayashi as their composer. To watch the latter, you can head to Crunchyroll — it has every season save for the latest movie, which is still running in theaters. The first season is also available on Netflix in some regions.
